Coach Ronald Beaver Named 2025 NJCAA DII Coach of the Year
Cleveland Community College is proud to announce that Head Softball Coach Ronald Beaver has been named the 2025 NJCAA Region 10 Division II Coach of the Year. This national recognition marks a milestone moment in the journey of a young program that began with a dream and a determined coach at the helm.
Coach Beaver was hired in 2019 to build CCC's softball program from the ground up, and the team began its inaugural season in 2019–2020. In just five seasons, he has led the Yetis from their humble beginnings to becoming a respected and competitive program in the NJCAA landscape. "This award is a reflection of the players' hard work, their belief in each other, their desire to win, and the leadership from our coaching staff, Coach Putnam and Coach Warlick," said Coach Beaver. "I'm proud of how far the program has come in the last five years, but it wouldn't have happened without the players willingness to work."
This season, the Yetis finished with an impressive 34–12 overall record and a 23–7 mark in conference play. The team earned its first-ever appearance in the NJCAA national rankings, climbing to No. 24, and made a strong showing in the NJCAA Region 10 Tournament. Their growth and performance have drawn attention across the region and beyond.
Athletic Director Andy Gardner applauded Beaver's leadership and the steady progress of the program. "Coach Beaver's commitment has been the driving force behind the growth of our softball program. He's created a team that competes with heart and integrity, and he's built a strong foundation for the future of Yetis softball."
CCC and Yetis Nation congratulate Coach Ronald Beaver on this well-earned recognition and celebrate the continued rise of the Yetis softball team.
